About Tolman Solutions

Welcome to Tolman Solutions, where our commitment lies in providing a transformative approach to tactical medicine training. Founded with a singular vision, we believe that Basic Life Support (BLS) should revolve around trauma scenarios, with CPR seamlessly integrated into comprehensive trauma assessments—a core principle driving our mission.

I'm James Tolman, a former Army medic (68W) who served with the 82nd Airborne Division. Within the 82nd, I had the privilege of completing an intensive "enhanced medic" program, which equipped select medics with the skills to effectively operate an emergency room. These skills proved invaluable during numerous mass casualty events in Afghanistan in 2019.

Following my military service, I diversified my experience within healthcare, working in a rural hospital, VA primary care, and Security contracted with DHS/SS. Throughout this journey, I pursued certifications in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Advanced Hazmat Disaster Response (AHDR), and Hazmat through NAEMT and local hospitals. Transitioning to security contracting, I became an instructor in TECC and AHDR through NAMET, training Law Enforcement Officers and Emergency Response teams.

My dedication to comprehensive preparedness led me to acquire the NIMS FEMA certification, enabling me to facilitate county-wide disaster response plans and Mass Casualty (MASCAL) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
